My name is Kevin Jardine and I created this website. I'm originally from Canada and currently live in the Netherlands. You can read further in this book to find out more about the origins of this project and check out my blog to read occasional updates on changes I've made or plan to make to this site.

I am an astronomy enthusiast and have a degree in computer science. My computer experience has been helpful in creating this site. The data is stored in a PostgreSQL database, the programming is done using Python, PHP, JavaScript, ActionScript, and ImageMagick, and this collaborative book is built using Drupal.
