Avedisova lists the B2 Ia supergiant HD 136003
as the ionising star. She places the nebula in the star formation region SFR 322.11+0.62
with four masers.
Dutra says that the infrared cluster [DBS2003] 93
is deeply embedded in RCW 92.
RCW 91 and 92 are part of the same structure according to the Georgelins.This Spitzer infrared image
shows that the nebula consists of two distinct bubbles.
