Sharpless notes that this HII region is associated with the bright stars
HD 167722 (B5),
HD 167815 (B2) and
HD 313098 (B5). SIMBAD says that HD 167722 is actually a B2 III giant.
More on the bright cloud and the two associated reflection nebula can be found here:
http://www.aao.gov.au/images/captions/aat020.htmlSh 2-35 and Sh 2-37 are associated with a 130 thousand solar mass giant molecular cloud at a distance of 1800 pc. Sh 2-37 is visible through a hole in this molecular cloud. This may be part of the Sgr OB1 association and is a very active star formation region. [

Avedisova places Sh 2-37 in star formation region
12.12-1.84 along with two masers and the star cluster
NGC 6595.
The RCW catalog includes faint surrounding nebulosity in
RCW 153 and identifies the bright compact core (
IC 1283) as RCW 153a.
